Nature Journaling

Come observe the changing of the seasons at The Trees. We'll use the practice of nature journaling to help us slow down and focus our attention on the wonder of creation.

Nature Journaling is a relaxing practice that combines art and science and sharpens your observational skills. We begin by carefully noticing the details of the natural world and then record our observations in our journals using words, pictures and numbers. No experience needed – you don't need to be "good" at drawing to enjoy tuning in to nature!

Things to Know

Bring a notebook, your favorite pen and drawing supplies (extra materials will be on hand). Sturdy shoes for walking on the trails, comfortable layers and a water bottle are recommended. We have camp chairs and seat cushions available.

We meet rain or shine. In inclement weather, we will journal on the porch.

Spring Series: March - May (not April 3 or May 29)

Led by Liz Sappenfield

Liz is a nature enthusiast and self-taught watercolorist. She is certified in nature journaling education by the Wild Wonder Foundation.
